    | 2023 06 20 ex alpe Adria trail ff day 12 we left the Refugio right after breakfast at 8 am and rode up to the Valparello overpass. 8 km. We walked down till we hit the road going up to Prolongia. At 1 pm we were walking down from Prolongia to the base of the gondola. Now we needed to get over Passo Selle and then up to Passo Groeden. The horses did show off their qualities pushing up the mountain for more than 2 hours straight After Groeden we walked them down and up to the rif Ciavaz. We got there after they had closed the kitchen but since the owner was entertaining guests they organized a plate with sausage and cheese and some beer. Left the toilet open for us to use and showed us where to get electricity. Before they left they called us for 2 free shots of schnapps. Custom here. We enjoyed it and the horses the alpine grass.   |
