     | 2023 06 22 ex alpe adria trail ff day 15 we had a gret evening with Thomas and his wife at the local restaurant. But according to the weather news, its getting hot around here. 33 in the valley (91 in us norm) and I can't stand it so we decided to give the horses and me a break and travel passed the Sarntheimer alp with their low alitude and high temperatures. We would hike down the valley and A friend of mine would pick us up at the interstate and drive us for 2 hours through Bolzano and Merano to Ulten Valley where we had Lunch with another outfitter friend and the packed up to clime the 2500 M Tascher pass. It was marked as a 4.5 hour assent and 1 hour decent but we made it in 3.5 hours total. Our horses are just doing great. Right now they are walking around the parking lot of the Tascher huette trying to find the best bits of grass. We will be getting our meal soon and then we will have to decide where i will crash tonight. A storm is brewing above us.    |
