2023 06 18 ex Alpe Adria trail ff 11 day. We were up at 5.30 taking down the tarp and storing the sleeping bags and Matt's away. At 6 the church bells started ringing and 6 Canon shots were fired in memory of the successfully defeat of the Armee of Napoleon Bonaparte. At 6.30 we were on our way along the bike trail towards Italy. We found a bakery but no coffee and ate some day old crossants that rhe lady donated to us. At Innichen we rode across the overpass to Sexten and Moos leading us up to the tre Chimme. This trail I rode 20 years ago on our trip from Munich to Venice and back. It was a steep uphill trail that was supposed to take 3.5 hours, we made it in 2 h walking behind the horses. There were less pedestrians than feared, but there were some ladies that felt the need to comment negatively on us taking the horses up here. If they just had a clue how much fun our horses have. We reached the tre chimes and hiked down the other side to Malga Bianca where we stayed before. Clemens told us to get some beer and wine and make our self at home, he would come by as soon as we finished the first bottle of wine. He showed up with some guests of his and took off again to take them up to the Rif. ARONZO at the tre Chimes. At 9.30 we were already sleeping he returned and we joined him in a plate of spaghetti and a Glas of wine. |
